LONDON QUARTET WILL GIVE CONCERT TONIGHT

Will Present Three Numbers of Recent Composition in Public Recital at Sanders Theatre.

In its first appearance at Harvard for almost two years, the London String Quartet will give a public concert in Sanders Theatre. It will be assisted by a chamber orchestra composed of members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Hugo Kortschak. Tickets are obtainable at the Music Building from 9 to 12 o'clock.

The quartet, which is brought here through the courtesy of the Library of Congress, Elizabeth Sprague Coolidge Foundation, consists of the following players: John Pennington, first violin; Thomas W. Petre, second violin; William Primrose, violoncello; and C. Warwick Evans, viola.

The program will be as follows:

Quintet for two violins, two violas, and violoncello-1928 Bohuslav Martinu

Concerto for String Quartet Orchestra-1929 Conrad Back
