NINE TRAVELS TO NEW YORK TODAY TO MEET COLUMBIA

Crimson Ace Who Pitched One Hit Game Against Pennsylvania Last Week Will Start

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Coach Fred Mitchell and 15 members of the University baseball squad left Cambridge last night for New York, where they will meet the Columbia University nine at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon. Although the Crimson lost to Pennsylvania last week, 2 to 0, in the only game played thus far this season, there is every reason to believe that Columbia will not have an easy afternoon at Baker field.

Devens to Pitch

Devens has the call for the pitching assignment and should do well against the Lions. He was Mitchell's choice against Penn, and had the misfortune to lose a one hit game. It is uncertain who will pitch for the Lions, since they played Yale yesterday afternoon, losing 2 to 1. The Harvard lineup will be almost the same as in the Pennsylvania game; Sheldon has been moved up to fifth place in the batting order, while Fincke is batting seventh. McCaffrey, who made the only Crimson hit of the Penn game, it batting sixth.

Harvard will be seeking the first victory from Columbia since 1927, when J. N. Barbee, Jr. '28 hurled his team to a 3 to 2 victory over the Lions.
