The preliminaries of the Annual University Spring Handicap Meet will be held this afternoon at Soldiers Field, beginning at 3 o'clock. Trials and semi-finals in the dashes and hurdles only will be run off, the first heat of the 120-yard high hurdles starting at 3 o'clock. The preliminaries of the 100-yard dash, the 220-yard low hurdles and the 220-yard dash will be held at 3.15, 3.30, and 3.45 o'clock respectively.
Competitors need not notify in advance their intention to enter any event, but may sign up on the field. The finals of all events will be held tomorrow afternoon at Soldiers Field, beginning at 2.30 o'clock with the 120-yard high hurdles.
