Four 1935 debaters will join forces with an equal number of Radcliffe freshmen to form two mixed teams who will meet informally this evening at 8 o'clock. This debate, which is the fourth of the year for the Harvard Freshmen, will be held in the Peabody Room of the Phillips Brooks House, on the subject: "Resolved, That the radio has lowered the cultural standard of America."
All the speakers will be allowed seven minute talks, with the exception of the first debater on each side, who will be limited to four minutes. Following the last speech, which will be by a member of the negative side, three minutes of rebuttal will be granted to the first speaker of each team, the affirmative side having the last word.
Miss Frances Jordan, assistant Dean of Radcliffe, and the Reverend Mr. N. C. Fetter will act as two of the judges, while a decision of the audience will serve as the third vote.
