POOL RETAINS STATE SQUASH TITLE BY DEFEATING JANSEN

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Beckman Pool '32 successfully defeated his title as Massachusetts squash racquet champion Saturday when he defeated T. E. Jansen '26, of the Harvard Club of Boston, in the final match for the 1932 championship, 15-12, 15-14 and 16-11 at the Boston Athletic Association.

The match was by no means one-sided, for Jansen put up a stiff fight and was in the lead several times during the three games necessary for the decision. Pool was always equal to the occasion in the crucial moments and gained the verdict without the loss of a game.

Pool's victory over Jansen practically assured him of first place in the state ranking.
