Falling to take a single match, the University A Whites lost the final contest of the season in the Massachusetts Squash Racquets League Saturday afternoon to the Harvard Club whites. The loss dropped them from first place in the league standing to third, while the championship went to the Harvard Club Reds. Owing to the fact that the number one players, Beekman Pool '32, and T. E. Jansen '26, were playing for the state championship on Saturday, their match was postponed until noon on Wednesday, but even if the intercollegiate champion repeats his victory over Jansen, the best the whites can do is to gain a second-place tie with the Harvard Club Whites. In the other League matches played Saturday, the Class A Reds downed Newton Centre, 3 to 2, the B team lost to the Boston Athletic Association, 4 to 1, the Freshman D five defeated the Boston Athletic Association, 3 to 2, and Dunster House strengthened its lead in Class D by blanking the Salem Club, 5 to 0.
