Roger Harper Martin '34 of Cambridge has been elected president of the sophomore class, it was announced last night by T. W. Nazro '34, retiring president. Richard Glover Ames '34 of Wayland was chosen vice-president, and Carl Albert Pescosolido '34 of Newtonville was elected secretary-treasurer.
Martin prepared at Belmont Hill. He is a member of the University hockey team and was Freshman captain last year. Ames, who was graduated from Milton Academy, is an outstanding wrestler this season. Pescosolido attended Deerfield Academy, was on his Freshman football and track teams, and played this fall on the University football squad.
A total of 340 ballots, representing about 38 per cent of the class, were cast in all. Last year 372 were cast in the same elections. The retiring officers, besides Nazro, are A. B. Hallowell '34, vice-president, and R. P. Waters, Jr. '34, secretary-treasurer. A summary of the voting follows:
