Yesterday in the Freshman Interdormitory track meet five of the nine scheduled events were run off, the other four being postponed until today. The contestants were divided into three teams, Red, Blue, and Green and the winners of extents will receive medals.
The summaries:
Shot Put--Won by W. H. Fink (Green) 47 ft, 9 in; second. H. R. Withington (Red) 37 ft, 4 1-2 in.; third, N. F. Neer (Green) 34 ft, 2 1-2 in.
High Jump--won by H. R. Withington (Red) 5 ft; 8 in.; second, Robert Swift (Green) 5 ft, 7 in.; third, tie between W. H. Fink (Green) H. S. Small, 5ft., 5 in.
Broad Jump--won by E. E. Calvin (Red) 20 ft, 3 1-4 in.; second, C. K. Litman (Green) 18 ft, 10 1-2 in,; third, H. R. Withington (Red) 18 ft., 7 in.
600-yard run--won by T. F. Locke (Red) second, E. F. Bowditch (Blue); third, E. E. Calvin (Red). No time given.
1000-yard run--won by Matthew Cobb (Red), second, J. P. Scheu (Green), third, A. S. Pier (Blue), fourth, C. W. Woodard (Green). No time given.
Today the schedule for the remaining events will be as follows: Hurdles 2.30 o'clock: dash 3 o'clock; mile run 3.30 o'clock, 300-yard run 3.30 o'clock.
