"The Classical Tradition: Dryden and Johnson," Is Subject For Latter

"The Classical Traditions Dryden and Johnson," will be the subject of the third of the Norton Lectures, to be given tonight at 8 o'clock in the New Lecture Hall by T. S. Eliot '10, Charles Eliot Norton Professor of Poetry. The general topic of the lecture series, "The Use of Poetry and the Use of Criticism,' will be considered from the standpoint of the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century poets.

The third of the Godkin lectures on "Local Government in the United States" will be given by Murray Seasongood '00, former Mayor of Cincinnati, this afternoon at 4 o'clock in Emerson D. In his lecture Seasongood, who has previously outlined the political regeneration of Cincinnati had Hamilton County, Ohio, will discuss the general topic of hindrances and helps in achieving good government.
