Final standings of the 36 second year law clubs qualifying for the next round of the Ames Competition were released yesterday after five weeks of elimination competition. Four teams of two men from each club have been arguing cases in mock trials, presided over by Boston attorneys in the guise of judges. There were eight winners who have earned the right to enter the quarter finals on February 4. After February, the four winners of that round will meet in the semi-finals in the fall of 1933: the finals will come in the spring. The competition is judged by some of the leading jurists in the country.

The standings of the first eight clubs are as follows: Club  Score  Won  Lost  Perventage 1. Bryce  30  4  0  1.000 2. Wilson  26 1/2  4  0  1.000 3. J. Smith  26 1/2  4  0  1.000 4. Pow Wow  26 1/2  4  0  1.000 5. Cheate  27 1/2  3  1  .750 6. Scott  27  3  1  .750 7. Warren  26 1/2  3  1  .750 8. Lowell  26 1/2  3  1  .750
