THE HARVARD CRITIC

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The appearance of a critical review, edited by Harvard undergraduates, on the news-stands of the Square today is an event of pleasing significance in the life of the University. It augurs the possibility of a new emphasis on the part of the student body, on precisely those matters of intelligent interest which have in the past been neglected by the University publications. For it is not a stricture on these last to concede that their scope, in representing the manifold activities of the University body, has necessarily been limited.

Economic considerations aside, there is ample room at Harvard for a monthly review capable of directing trenchant and impartial criticism at the organizations and policies of the University. The closer the Critic adheres to its announced intentions in that regard, the better it wil serve the University. The CRIMSON is glad to welcome the Critic to the field of undergraduate publications, and wish it good success on its enterprise.
