GORDON TO RECEIVE RHODES SCHOLARSHIP IN NEW YORK

Abraham Lincoln Gordon '34 of New York City was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship in the final competition in the New York State district yesterday. Gordon prepared at Fieldston. He is a member of the Glee Club and is in group 1 of the rank list. He is concentrating in Government and holds the Bonaparte Scholarship, which is awarded to the man concentrating in that field who has the highest ranking at the end of his Junior year.

Gordon is the only Harvard student to receive a Rhodes Scholarship this year out of the 19 men who applied.
