Latest returns at 8.45 o'clock showed Roosevelt leading in 25 states, while Hoover holds only Mass., Penn., Maine, Vermont, N.H., Ohio, and Mich. The Solid South is more solid than ever, while in many of the states Hoover has received no electoral votes at all.

In Massachusetts Youngman is leading Ely 8 to 5, Moses holding a slight lead in New Hampshire, while in New York Lehman is leading Donovan for Governor.
