Over forty men have already entered the University handicap cross country run, to be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon. The entire University team, R. S. Playfair '36, captain of the Freshman harriers, and B. E. Estes of last year's team are among the entrants.
The race will be run over the flat course, which extends four and a half miles from Soldiers Field along the Charles river to the Arsenal Street bridge and then across the river and down the other side to a finish just above the Larz Anderson Bridge.
Because of the handicap system, which is governed by previous performance, every entrant will have an equal chance of sharing in the five prizes to be awarded the winners. The first prize is a gold medal, the second, a silver, and three awards to the next men finishing.
