NEW JOURNAL WILL BE NAMED HARVARD CRITIC

A new University publication, in the form of a four page four column paper issued monthly, has recently been planned by a group of students. This paper will be provisionally named "The Harvard Critic" and will sell for five cents a copy on the news-stands.

A committee, composed of H. S. Saxe '34, H. E. Robbins '35, and J. L. Burling '34, has begun plans for the organization of an editorial board and intends to put out the first issue on or about Thursday, December 15.

The organizers made the following statement last night regarding their paper:

"The paper has three purposes. First, we shall print editorials on immediate University questions by dealing with the fundamental issues involved.

"Second, we shall print reflective articles on Harvard University and education in general. These will be written from various points of view such as Harvard judged by a former Oxford students, by a former Antioch student, or by a former student at the Wisconsin experimental college.

"Third, we shall print critical essays on general topics of interest. The aid, advice, and contributions of all members of the University, including members of the faculty, and of distinguished men in other fields as well, will be sought. In our selection of articles, we intend to be non-partisan."
