ABANDON PLAN FOR CHARITY GRIDIRON GAME IN STADIUM

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Following a conference between representatives of the Boston Braves, professional football team, and representatives of Mayor Curley of Boston and Mayor Russell of Cambridge, Lowell Leary '05, chairman of the committee in charge of the proposed post season charity contest in the Stadium, stated that the game would probably not take place.

The organization of an all-star team of New England college players to oppose the Braves on December 10 has been definitely abandoned, following the refusal of E. L. Casey '19, Harvard coach, to undertake the task. Efforts are now being made to obtain a college team of suitable drawing power to oppose the Braves, but Leary was extremely dubious as to the success of negotiations. President Lowell has unconditionally offered the use of the Stadium.
