Rabbi Zarchi Confronted Maria Ressa, Walked Off Stage Over Her Harvard Commencement Speech

BABBITT SPEAKS AT ANNUAL MEETING OF ARTS ACADEMY

Speaking before the American Academy of Arts and Letters at its annual meeting in New York Thursday evening, Irving Babbitt '89, professor of French Literature, delivered an address on "The Problem of Style in a Democracy." The meeting was largely given ever to the celebration of the 80th birthday of Dr. Henry van Dyke, noted author and clergyman.

Other speakers at the distinguished gathering included Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler, president, of Columbia University and of the Academy, William Lyon Phelps, professor of English at Yale, and Robert Underwood Johnson, editor and author.

Dr. van Dyke graduated from Princeton with the class of 1873, received the degree of D.D. there in 1884, a similar degree from Harvard in 1894, and one from Yale in 1896.
