OVER 40 MEN WORKING OUT IN FALL BASEBALL

Infield and Outfield Work Stressed in First Practice--Few First Team Men Report

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With something over 40 men reporting for practice at the beginning of the week, fall baseball has received a fine start. Although 20 of these aspirants are Freshmen a wealth of upperclass material is looked for to fill the gaps left on last year's Varsity by graduation.

The first days of practice will consist merely of infield and outfield work with some batting and pitching thrown in. As usual all play will be informal and no outside contests will be scheduled. Later on in the season teams will be picked and some games will be played. Only a few first team men have turned out so far due to the call of examinations and fall sports. Although the fall workouts rarely afford any definite plans for the coming season, it always offers great opportunities to the baseball men to keep in shape until the opening of regular spring practice early in March.
