Professorship of Obstetrics Endowed By Boston Surgeon

W. L. Richardson '64, prominent Boston surgeon who died October 20, according to his will filed in Probate Court, left his library with the exception of the medical books to Harvard University. He also left a bequest of $100,000 for the endowment of a professorship of obstetrics and $40,000 for the establishment of the "Jeffrey Richardson Fellowship," the income to be used for the support of a deserving medical student.

Dr. Richardson willed his medical books to the Boston Medical Library.
