E. E. Calvin '35, one of the stars of last year's Freshman team, and J. J. Hays '34, each captures one first and one second place in the running events yesterday, on the final day of the Fall Handicap Track Meet. The former placed first in the 150 yard sash, with the time of 14 4-5 seconds, and took second place in the 70 yard dash. Besides coming in first in the 120 yards low hurdles, with the time of 14 9-10 seconds, Hayes captures second place in the 70 yard high hurdles. The 880 yard run was won by B. E. Estes, 1G.B., whose time was 2 minutes, 5 2-5 seconds, while G. H. Porter '34 won the 440 yard run.
The other two first places were taken by L. R. Martin '36 and Donald McKee '36, who scored in the 70 yard high hurdles, and the 70 yard dash, respectively. Martin's time was 9 seconds, while McKee's was 7 2-5 seconds.
Others to take second places were Carlisle Abell '35, J. E. Rogerson '34, Lambert Murphy '35, and J. E. O'Connor '35.
