HALLOWELL OUT OF CLASH TOMORROW WITH BROWN TEAM

Crimson stock in tomorrow's game against the Bruins dropped suddenly yesterday with the announcement that Hallowell, veteran first-string center, was definitely out of the conflict with injuries sustained in a recent scrimmage. Warren Casey will take his place in the pivot position.

Crickard and Grady are still questionable for the Brown, conflict, and did not even run through signals yesterday. Francisco, Casale, Bennett, Schumann, and Bartol are definitely out as was announced before.

Frank Crane will probably be used as substitute in the position of center in order to bolster up the pivot reserves, so Gundlach will be back in his old position as guard for tomorrow's conflict against the Bruins.

Signal Drill Held

Due to rain, yesterday's workout was held in the Cage. Two Second University teams scrimmaged against each other using Brown plays while the Varsity players looked on. Later the Varsity dummy-scrimmaged against more Bruin plays put on by a Jayvee team. A long signal drill was held, with the usual fundamentals on blocking and tacking following it. Wells, Dean, Nevin, and Gleason had a short session of kicking.

The Brown squad arrives about 12 o'clock tomorrow at the Stadium. Tonight W. J. Bingham '16 and Coach E. L. Casey '19 will speak at a Brown football smoker at the University Club of Boston. Coach McLaughry of the Bruins will also deliver an address, as will other Brown athletic officials.

General opinion at Providence seems to be running high in favor of a victory for the home team, particularly as the Bruins are in a fine condition after a semi-breather against. Tufts last weekend. The Brown team had some difficulty in clicking earlier in the season, but the Yale game marked apparently the up-swing of the tide. The Providence players will be at practically full strength against Harvard in this Saturday's big clash.
