8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Following its policy of producing plays in the original Greek and Latin, the Harvard Classical Club is planning the production of the "Philoctetes" of Sophocles sometime in December in the auditorium of the Geography Building.
The cast will include R. S. Fitzgerald '33, R. V. Scudder '34, Sherman Conrad '33, H. C. Hatfield '33, and P. L. McKendrick '34. H. T. Levin '33 will have charge of production. Special music has been written for the play by Eliot Carter '29, a student of Ancient Music, and settings will be designed by S. C. Cauman '29. The play is being supervised by a faculty committee consisting of Milman Parry, assistant professor of Greek, chairman, A. H. Chase, instructor in the department of Classics, and J. H. Finley Jr. '25.
Although all the leading parts have been assigned, the chorus has not been selected yet and tryouts for positions will be hold in the Music Building at 4.30 o'clock this afternoon.
