A gathering of distinguished men from all over the East witnessed the presentation of a portrait of William Lawrence '71, Bishop of Massachusetts, to the Faculty Club of the Business School last Monday evening. The picture, the gift of several intimate friends of the Bishop, was accepted for the University by President Lowell, who gave a short talk about Bishop Lawrence and his great interest in the University and the Business School in particular.
The picture in the work of Mrs. A. E. Rand, a well known portrait painter, who has done two or three other pictures of Bishop Lawrence.
W. B. Donham '98, Dean of the Business School, was among the others to address the group. He spoke of the increased growth of the school and the great amount of work which the students now cover in two years.
