At an informal meeting of the Republican Club on the evening of October 10th, Charles Francis Adams '88, Secretary of the Navy and an Overseer of Harvard College, will speak on "The Constitutional Aspects of the 18th Amendment," R. H. Amberg '33, Chairman of the Republican Club announced today. Following Secretary Adams, Professor J. H. Beale '82, Royall Professor of Law will address the meeting on the coming election; and Congressman Robert Luce '82, will speak on politics in general and present-day issues.
As a preliminary to this conference the Club will hold an organization meeting on Wednesday evening, October 5th, to which all students who are interested in politics and the coming presidential election are invited to come.
The Republican Club, in spite of its name, is a non-partisan organization interested in awakening enthusiasm in politics and government among students, Since membership is not limited to members of any political body, all students interested in the election will be welcomed at both meetings according to Chairman Amberg. Announcements about the time and place of these meetings which will be held in one of the House Common Rooms, will be published as soon as possible.
