PLENTY OF OLD CLOTHES FOR P.B.H. THIS YEAR

The annual clothing drive conducted by Phillips Brooks House has been a big success this year. The amount and variety of the clothing has far exceeded that of any other year, and much of it has already been distributed to the needy.

The reason for the success of this year's drive is very largely due to the improved organization of the drive. In former years there has not been one person definitely responsible for each entry in each hall, but his year one person was put in charge of the whole drive and he was made responsible for seeing that a definite collector was responsible for each entry and that that collector was interested in making the clothing drive a success. The result was most gratifying, as can easily be seen by the fact that enough clothing was collected to help several charities and needy students.

The need for the clothing was so great that much of it was distributed as soon as it came in to Phillips Brooks House, to the Cambridge Family Welfare Association, Trinity Church, and needy students. One woman wanted some clothing for her husband who had just gotten out of prison and other pathetic cases of need were numerous. The remainder of the clothing collected will be distributed to other charities and to the American Red Cross.
