BINGHAM SUCCEEDS JONES ON FOOTBALL RULES BOARD

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The recent appointment of William J. Bingham '16, Director of Athletics at Harvard, to membership in the Football Rules Committee of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, gives the University its first representation on this body of coaches and athletic officials since the death of the late Frederick Moore '92.

The Committee has been meeting in New York and required a representative from New England, to succeed Coach Tad Jones of Yale, whose term of membership is finished. It was felt that Mr. Bingham was the logical man to fill the vacancy for he has been connected with football for many years, in both competitive and executive positions.
