Five members of the staff of the Harvard Medical School, headed by G. C. Shattuck '01, assistant professor of Tropical Medicine, embarked from New York on Saturday for Guatemala, where they will engage in medical research work under the auspices of the Carnegie Institution.
The party, which is headed for Point Barrios, Guatemala on the S. S. Tiveves, will explore the Maya ruins of northern Guatemala, when the medical work has been completed. Accompanying Dr. Shattuck are Dr. William Curth, Dr. J. L. Bremer '96, Hersey Professor of Anatomy; Dr. B. L. Bennett, and Carlos Sanchez, all of the Medical School.
