The list of patronesses for the presentation of two Shakespeare plays by the Ben Greet players in Boston on January 19 has been completed. These performances, which will be sponsored by the Harvard Dramatic Club are "Julius Caesar" at 3 o'clock and "The Comedy of Errors," at 8.15 o'clock at Jordan Hall.
Last year the Club brought Blanche Yurka to Boston in "Electra," setting itself the precedent of annually sponsoring a well known company in Boston theatres. In getting these Shakesperian players to perform here, the Club is backing a widely known Shakesperean producer, recently knighted by King George for his services to the drama.
Last Appearance
These performances will probably constitute Sir Philip's last appearance on the Boston stage, as his transcontinental trip this year is said to be a farewell tour of the country. Sir Philip will continue on his tour from Boston playing chiefly for school and college audiences. Last year he produced and acted in the rarely played first quarto edition of "Hamlet."
