Gales Ferry, Conn., June 1--Thirty-nine Yale oarsmen today sandwiched a few paddling exercises in between a series of examinations, carrying on work that was started in New Haven on Friday. A group of 60 men, including oarsmen, coaches, trainers and camp workers are housed at the rowing camp here, getting ready for the Harvard regatta on June 19. Examinations will continue for a week.

S. B. Childs, Jr., of Denver, who rowed at number three oar on the University crew boat in the Derby Day race three weeks ago, is still on the squad, and took both examinations and engaged in the rowing practise at the training camp.
