President Lowell's Baccalaureate Sermon in Appleton Chapel at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon will open Harvard's 295th Commencement. The week will be filled with a heavy schedule of events, which include the activities of many class reunions in addition to the regular Senior activities.
Willard Learoyd Sperry, dean of the Theological School, will assist in the Baccalaureate Service. Following this President Lowell will receive at his home all of the members of the Senior Class and the members of the class of 1906 who are attending the reunion.
On Monday morning at 11.30 o'clock the Harvard chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society will hold its annual meeting. The literary exercises in Sanders Theatre, to which the public is invited, will be preceded by a business meeting to be held in Emerson Hall at 10 o'clock. At the Sanders Theatre exercises, the oration will be given by Professor J. H. Beale, and the poet of the society will be Professor Odell Shepard; judge W. C. Wait '82 will preside. A dinner to the society will be served to the--society at 1 o'clock in the Union. At 9 o'clock the Senior Spread and Dance will be held in Lowell House.
The 25th reunion of the class of 1906 will open with registration on Sunday morning and continue through the day with inspection of University buildings. At 4.45 o'clock a service will be held for deceased members of the class and following that a reception at President Lowell's home. On Monday the members and their families will visit places in the vicinity of Boston.
