HARVARDIANS ARE TO TRAVEL ABROAD ON TOUR

TWO MORE UNITS PLAY IN EASTERN RESORTS DURING SUMMER

Two units of the Harvardians, well-known undergraduate jazz orchestra, have been engaged to play for the student third class on the transatlantic liners Scythia and Lafayette during the coming summer, it was announced yesterday by Roy Lamson '29, leader and manager of the organization.

The first of these, the Crimson Serenaders, consisting of five students at the University under the direction of J. E. Larkin '32, will embark on the S. S. Scythia on July 9, returning September 10. During the intervening time the orchestra will go on a tour through the center of France, during which it will give a number of programs.

The second unit, the Harvard Vagabonds, directed by H. N. Roberts '31, is to sail August 11, on the French liner Lafayette, planning to return on the same vessel, after an interval of ten days. During the intervening period the quintet will play in Paris.

Two more groups of the organization are engaged for the summer in prominent eastern resorts. Lamson will direct the first of these, which plays regularly at the Fo'cas'le at the Hotel Rockmere in Marblehead. The second, led by E. R. Beacon 1GB, will operate at Silver Beach, Falmouth, in cooperation with the University Players, Inc.,
