A fund of $20,000 to be used for the publication of original research monographs, distinguished contributions to scholarship in the field of history, has been presented to Harvard University in memory of Robert Louis Stroock '27. The fund will bear the name of The Robert Louis Stroock Memorial.
A special committee of members of the department of History will be appointed from time to time to determine the monographs to be published. The monographs, when published, will have a general uniformity of size, binding and typography. Publication under this memorial fund will be continued, in general, to works too short for books too long for articles.
Robert Louis Stroock prepared at Horace Manu School and received his A.B degree from Harvard College in 1927, cum laude in the field of History and Literature later he interested himself especially in the history of Greece, displaying remarkable enthusiasm and aptitude for original research. His death occurred on December 30, 1930, at New York City.
