Groton, May 6-Nosing the second Freshman crew by a half-length at the finish of a mile course, the Groton eight, rowing a smooth, long beat, registered 5 minutes, 13 seconds on the Nashua river. The Harvard shell, which was retrieving a lead of more than a length at the time of the sprint, showed power but lacked coordination.
