With two orchestras furnishing the music, supper at 12 o'clock and entertainment, the annual Freshman Jubilee will get under way at 9 o'clock to night in Smith Halls. Roy Lamson with two orchestras will provide the music for the dancing. While the Freshman Instrumental Club in their last appearance of the season will provide music and entertainment during the supper hour.
Beginning at 9 o' clock continuous music will be provided by the Harvardians until 12 o'clock when supper will be served, followed by an hour's intermission during which the instrumental Clubs will entertain. The dancing will be in both the dining hall and the common room with an orchestra in each apartment.
The Dunster street entrance to the Halls will be closed and all must enter by the Boylston street entrance. Coat rooms will be furnished for both gentlemen and ladies on the ground door. Freshmen are strictly for bidden to take ladies to their rooms any time during the evening. Residents of Smith Balls who are not going to the dance will be allowed to enter or leave through the Boylston street entrance Conventional dress for the evening will be summer formal or tuxedo.
One half hour of the intermission at 12 o'clock will be devoted to the program of the Freshman Instrumental Clubs First the members of the Bango Club will play "Up the Street". Dancing Shadow", "Wedding of the Birds". After that R. B. Carleton '34 will play on the xylophone, followed by the members of the Mandolin Club, who will render "Destiny Waltz", "C. G. V. March". Next R. S. Hurlbut '34 will play on the accordion, and the Gold Coast Orchestra will give a few selections. Following those will be a vocal trio composed of L. G. Thurber '34, Guy Hayes '34, and F. F. Cary '34, assisted by Atreus Von Club will sing "A Winter Song", "Old Man Noah", and "Heidelberg".
Continuing the practice instituted last year of having a number of Freshman ushers instead of hired butlers, the Jubilee committee has selected the following to act as ushers: A. M. Brown '34, W. B. Cudaly '34, L. S. Dillingham '34, B. T. Elkins '34, J. N. Field '34, Robert Grant, III '34, A. B. Hallowell '34, T. W. Nazro '34, E. E. Stowell '34, and R. P. Waters, Jr. '34.
