WHITE ELECTED FRESHMAN TRACK CAPTAIN AT MEETING

John Bridgers White '34 of Thomasville, Georgia, was elected captain of the Freshman track team at a special meeting of the squad yesterday afternoon.

White prepared at Episcopal High School, Washington, D.C., where he attained prominence as a half-miler and ran on the relay team for three years. Last fall he was a member of the Freshman cross country squad, and during the indoor season has excelled in the longer distances.
