Yesterday at noon the University golf team left for Princeton, where it will meet the University of Pennsylvania today at 2.30 o'clock in the first of a series of three matches in the Intercollegiate Golf League tournament.
Daily practice under the tutelage of a coach should have moulded the Crimson players, all veterans of last year's University of Freshman teams into an aggregation difficult to defeat. However, the Harvard golfers' record so far this season has not been very impressive. Opening with a 6 to 3 win in a practice meet with the Weston Golf Club, the Crimson has defeated Holy Crss 8 to 1, and been defeated by Dartmouth 5 to 4. It is expected that the Pennsylvania match will be a real test of Harvard's Power.
Tomorrow morning Georgetown will be the opponent of the Crimson forces in the second match of the tournament. This match will take place at Princeton, and will be followed in the afternoon by matches with the Princeton University golfers.
The line-up for today's match with Pennsylvania follows: No.1, Phillips Finlay '31; No.2, C.S. Eaton '32; No.3, W.R. Arnold '31; No.4, E.B. Murray '31; No.5, J.B. Baldwin '31; No.6, R.L. Kimbrough '33.
