DAVISON TO LECTURE ON GILBERT AND SULLIVAN

Small Chorus, Slides, to Supplement Lecture Material

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A lecture-recital on the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas will be given by Professor A. T. Davison '05 this evening at 8.15 o'clock in the John Knowles Paine Hall of the Music Building. The presentation is being given for the benefit of the MacDowell Memorial Colony.

In preparing the lecture on the famous works of Gilbert and Sullivan Dr. Davison has arranged many excerpts from the operettas for a small chorus to sing, and these examples of the music under discussion will be sung by a picked chorus recruited from the members of the Radcliffe Choral Society and of the University Glee Club. There will also be slides to illustrate the lecture. Tickets priced at $1.50, $1.00, and $.50 may be had at Almee Brothers.
