LACROSSE TEAM PLAYS FIRST GAME TODAY AGAINST TUFTS

New Plays Will be Used for First Time in History of Sport

Engaging in the first scrimmage of the year with an outside team, the University lacrosse team will meet Tufts this afternoon at 3 o'clock in an informal practice session. The Tufts aggregation, although not a strong combination, is expected to furnish plenty of opposition.

The University and Freshman lacrosse squads have been working out daily in the field behind the Business School under the direction of Coach Madison Sayles '27, assistant coach C. E. Heintz, formerly of Stephen's Institute, New York, and Freshman coach W. C. Pickard '29. Coach Sayles has been instructing his men in a play-system during this time which is being used for the first time in the history of the sport.
