FRESHMAN PLUNGE HEAVILY IN ORGANIZED GAMBLING POOL

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A new baseball pool has recently made its appearance in the vicinity of the Freshman dormitories. Two students are running the business on a presumably non-profit basis. It is rumored that the base of operations is in Smith Hall.

The pool is run on a club basis, dues to which are $1,00 per week. Membership brings with it the purely incidental privilege of drawing lots of the baseball clubs in the National and American Leagues. The member who happens to draw the club making the greatest number of runs for the week receives a prize of $5,00. In addition to this weekly stipend there are daily prizes of $1,00.
