BEACH RECEIVES WELLS PRIZE FOR ECONOMICS THESIS

Eleven Sheldon Fellowships, totalling $17,000 have just been announced. The new holders to receive these grants for travel and study abroad are as follows:

Freshman Grants The following nine students are recipients of scholarships for the second half of the current academic year:

Wells Award

W. E. Beach, instructor and tutor in the department of Economics, has been awarded the David A. Wells prize in Economics for the best thesis embodying the results of original investigation received during the past year. The thesis will be published shortly by the University.
