WHEELER RECEIVES LEIDY MEDAL FOR ANT STUDIES

William Morton Wheeler, professor of entomology and Associate Curator of Insects in the Museum of Comparative Zoology, will receive the Leidy medal today, it was announced by the Academy of Natural Sciences. This medal is awarded every three years for the best original work in the natural sciences.

Professor Wheeler will receive the medal in recognition of "his outstanding work on insects, notably his studies of the comparative psychology of ants." He has been connected with Harvard since 1908, and has been internationally known as a zoologist for some time.
