Only 21 men had signified their intention of participating in the University swimming meet when the entries books were closed last night, although it is expected that there will be more applicants before the contest begins at 3.30 o'clock this afternoon.
Among the entries are six men on the University squad, three men from the Freshman squad, and several outstanding swimmers in the graduate schools. B. S. Wood '33, captain of the Crimson team, will swim the 50 and 100-yard free style races, and three points winners on the Harvard team, H. V. Atherton '32, R. D. Fallon '33, and G. C. Larcom, Jr. '33 will each swim in at least two events.
The entries are as follows:
50 yard free style--Fallon, A. B. Harkness 1L, J. B. Weed 2G.B., and Wood.
220 yard free style--R. S. Cosby '34, E. C. Devereux, Jr. '34, W. T. Golden 1G.B., G. L. Jorgensen '34, and David Russell '31.
Dive--Sidney Bluhm '32, Vernon Charnley, Jr. 2G.B., Waters Kellog '34, W. S. Manuel 1G.B., J. S. Manuel 1G.B.
100 yard back stroke--Atherton, E. G. Helvenston '33, E. E. Stowell '34, Weed.
