Clashing with the University of Pennsylvania fencing team in the New Indoor Athletic Building this afternoon at 4 o'clock, the Harvard swordsmen will encounter a team of about the same strength as their own. Pennsylvania will bring a squad of seven men, who will meet the University fencers in epee, saber, and foils.
Both Harvard and Pennsylvania have fenced with Columbia and the Navy. The University defeated Columbia 11 to 6, while Pennsylvania won from them only 9 to 8. The Navy triumphed over Harvard 10 to 7 and Columbia 13 to 4.
Harvard will be represented in foils by J. D. Allen '31, H. C. Cassidy '31, and H. B. Wesselman '31. In epee will be F. C. Flechter '32 and K. R. Ludlam '33, or J. L. Mackin '32. In saber will be R. B. Lawson '32 and W. M. Wing '31, David Soloman, Herbert Geshwind, and Henning Heldt will represent Columbia in foils. The epee men will be William Galleway, and David Soloman. In saber the fencers will be Arnold Green and Herbert Geshwind.
