MENORAH SOCIETY SETS DATE FOR ANNUAL PLAY

The date of the annual production of the Menorah societies of Harvard and Radcliffe has just been announced, and will be presented on Thursday and Saturday evenings, April 9 and 11 in the Agassiz theatre at Radcliffe. The play this year will be "Jud Suss," a drama in three acts by Ashley Dukes, which is based on "Power," the historical romance of Leon Feuchtwanger.

In "Jud Suss," the author depicts the rise and fall of the power of Joseph Suss. At first merely treasurer to the Duke of Wurtemburg, he gradually increases in power until he finally controls the throne. The Menorah presentation of "Disraeli" in 1929 met with marked success.

Flato Directs Play

The Menorah societies have been able to secure the services of Charles Flato, who has recently been working with the Ford Players, to coach their play. The cast has been working since the end of February, when they started rehearsals, and are expected to present a good performance next Thursday.

The male cast is as follows: J. L. Morris, Edmund Dorfman '33, M. B. Icove, Joseph Neyer '34, Lee Srole '32, N. J. Winer '31, Julius Kaplan '34, H. L. Lodish, S. M. Shevitz, and G. J. Huberman '34. The female roles are played by Mildred Levi, Hesta Blatt, Selma Yeslansky, and Miriam Gangburg.
