PRESIDENT LOWELL TALKS TO MISSOURI ALUMNI GATHERING

"I suppose the next state constitution will insure the right to life, liberty, and a Ph. D. degree." President Lowell remarked in the course of a talk before a reorganization meeting of the University of Missouri Alumni Association of New England last night in the Faculty Club of the Business School.

President Lowell, who received an LL.D. degree from the University of Missouri in 1914, deplored the lowering of standards by colleges, which he termed responsible for the future of the country.
