SPRING FOOTBALL IS TO START NEXT MONDAY

Three Week's Practice is Expected to Draw Reduced Squad--Coaches May be Helped by Ticknor

Spring practice in football will start on Monday, and will last three weeks until Tuesday, April 10. Only men who are not engaged in some other spring sport are eligible for practice, which will considerably reduce the usual size of the squad.

Practice this spring is beginning four days later this year than last, and is consistent with the late practice which is the policy of the Harvard authorities. The work will consist of line-work, passes, and plays, and will give the men much the same training as in fall practice.

The chief coach will be E. L. Casey '19, and the assisting coaches will be E. R. Bradford '26, who will coach the ends, Walter Clarey '15, line coach, V. P. Kennard, kicking coach, Nils Nelson '1$, and Arthur Sampson, both coaching the backfield. It is also hoped that B. H. Ticknor '31, will be assistant line coach.

About 60 or 70 men are expected to report, approximately the same number as that of last year. Whether the regular squad will report could not be ascertained last night from the authorities, although most of the men are expected to do so.
