Yale's two basketball teams, University and Freshman, journeyed to Cambridge Saturday and decisively defeated their Harvard rivals by scores of 29 to 14 and 47 to 20 respectively. The games closed the season for all four teams.
In the University game Yale was master throughout except for a short spurt by the Crimson at the start of the second period when the gap between the two teams was narrowed down to seven points. Captain Horwitz was brilliant in his team's victory.
The Yale Freshmen, in downing Harvard, scored their thirteenth consecutive win. At half time the Elis were leading by only seven points but during the next two quarters the Blue players rapidly turned the game into a rout. Score--Yale 29: Harvard 14. Goals from floor, Huppuch 1, Rauh 1, Holland 2, Ben- der 1, Patterson 2, eGowan 2, Horwits 6. Goals from fouls, Moushegian, Pattison, Holland, Booth, Beane, Patterson. McGowan Horwits. Referees--Kelliher and Swaffield. Time of halves--20 minutes.
