Freshmen will hear three talks on the choice of their fields of concentration, at 9'o clock this morning in the New Lecture Hall. The speakers at the meeting will be President Lowell, and Dr. Hallowell Davis '18, chairman of the Board of Tutors in Biology. A.E. Hindmarsh '27, assistant dean of the College, will outline the steps which every Freshman must take in announcing his field of concentration.
Pamphlets and study cards have already been distributed to most of the first year men who should make their choice before April 10. The pamphlet which was published two years ago by the CRIMSON, in collaboration with the Committee of Electives, contains articles on fields of concentration written by members of the faculty.
Confer with Advisors
A list of the representative men in the various departments was also distributed with the pamphlets. Every student should confer with his advisor, before making his decision.
The choice of a field of concentration must be made by April 10, at which time each Freshman will submit a study card for next year, and a plan for his whole college course. This plan will include his requirements for concentration and distribution for the whole four years.
