1934 COMPETITION OPENS FOR FOOTBALL MANAGERS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Candidates wishing to compete for the position of second assistant University football manager will meet at the H. A. A. today at 2 o'clock. All Freshmen are eligible to try out, and previous experience is unnecessary.

The competition will last for a period of 15 days, during the spring football season. Eight men will be selected from among the candidates to take part in the second assistant manager competition next fall. This is a departure from the previous custom of choosing only five men in the spring tryouts to participate in the final elimination.

The candidate gaining the post next fall will become University football manager in his senior year.
