At a meeting of the Liberal Club this evening, which is to be preceded by the usual dinner at the Union at 6.30 o'clock, the members will be addressed by William Simpson, a noted liberal. The meting will be held in Emerson F as soon as the dinner is finished and will be open to the University.
Simpson is a former minister who renounced his church as contrary to the ethies of Christ, in order to live a life of a layman in the working-class distriets. He took up the trade of carpenter but at the beginning of the warturned his interest to the pacifistic movement. He is a widely-known speaker, a man of extermely liberal doctrines. The talk to the Liberal Club will be entitled. "The Religion of the Free Man."
